Iowa Gov. Reynolds Interviews Republican Presidential Candidate Asa Hutchinson at the Iowa State Fair

Iowa Gov. Reynolds interviews Pres. Candidate and former Arkansas Gov,, Asa Hutchinson, at the Iowa State Fair, as part of her “Fair-Side Chats”.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds interviewed Republican Presidential candidate and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson at the Iowa State Fair on Tuesday as part of her “Fair-Side Chats” series.

Hutchinson kicked off the interview talking about fentanyl and his work as a federal prosecutor. Hutchinson promised that enforcing the law will be a priority for the Hutchinson administration.

Hutchinson touted his record as Governor during Covid, and said that Arkansas never defined who was an essential business. Hutchinson touted how Arkansas ranked #2 in the nation for in class time in the nation, while other Governors kept children out of school much longer.

Hutchinson promised stricter border school and that he would designate drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. He also said that he will use economic pressure to get Mexico to work with us on cleaning up the border.

Hutchinson announced during the interview that he wants to have a state based visa program that would bring the kind of talent they are looking for in Iowa, but that the federal government will still set certain security standards.

Hutchinson pledged to stop excessive federal spending, and called for a balanced budget. Hutchinson touted his record of balancing the budget as Governor of Arkansas.

Hutchinson touted his record of cutting the size of government as Governor and reducing 42 departments down to 15 that reported to the governor. Hutchinson also said that he implemented a hiring freeze, reducing state government workers by 14% during his tenure.

The Iowa caucuses are scheduled for January 15th.

I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read through, however I genuinely believed you would have something interesting to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of crying about something you could fix if you werent too busy searching for attention.
