During the Trump administration, a group called the Center for Biological Diversity made a name for themselves by launching an insane campaign to bring 266 lawsuits against the Trump administration on things like climate change and endangering public health. On day one of the Trump administration they started suing for absolutely everything to try to paralyze his administration.
In December 2020, just weeks before Biden’s inauguration, they met with the “Climate President” Joe Biden and gave him a list of “THE 10 ESSENTIAL STEPS PRESIDENT BIDEN MUST TAKE ON CLIMATE”.
This organization did all of the work for Biden and even wrote model executive orders for Biden to sign. So far Biden has taken 9 out of the 10 steps and by the end of this summer could take the final one.
10. Rejoin the Paris Agreement and lead with science-based commitments that ensure that the United States, as the world’s largest cumulative historical emitter, contributes its fair share and advances climate justice.
In June 2017, President Trump announced that the U.S. will become the first country to withdraw from the disastrous Paris climate agreement signed into law by President Obama.
The Paris deal was drafted in 2015 to
- “pursue efforts” of keeping global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius,
- Move the U.S. to net zero carbon emissions between 2050 and 2100.
- For each country to set its own emission-reduction targets, reviewed every five years to raise ambitions
- And for rich countries to provide poorer countries with “climate finance” so that they can adapt to climate change and switch to renewable energy. The goal was for rich countries to contribute a total of $100 billion to poorer countries to fight climate change and transition to renewable energy.
The “agreement” turned out to be a disaster, like most of us that were awake expected it to be. As of the end of 2020, only 7 countries out of 185 were on track to keep their promises, one of those being the largest polluter in the world, China, which was actually increasing pollution despite being part of this agreement.
This agreement was a disaster and would have become a massive disaster for the U.S. economy. We would have shut down our own energy production, and then be forced to rely on countries like Saudi Arabia for things like oil. It would have bankrupted the U.S. and energy prices in America would have skyrocketed. Oh wait, they are.
The Biden administration announced in February 2021, just a few weeks after taking office, that we will be rejoining the Paris agreement and as a result would have to move to net zero emissions by shutting down fossil fuels production like oil and coal.
We didn’t know it at the time, but Obama’s commitment to join the Paris Climate Agreement was really the beginning of the move away from fossil fuels, and the beginning of the implementation of the Great Reset.
9. Make polluters pay: Investigate and prosecute fossil fuel polluters for the damages they have caused. Commit to veto all legislation that grants legal immunity for polluters, undermines existing environmental laws, or advances false solutions.
In 2021, Biden released his new budget, which proposed $100 billion in new taxes on the fossil fuel industry. These new taxes move away from treating the fossil fuel industry as neutral and aims to punish the industry. It moved to implement a “carbon tax”.
In March 2022, it was announced that the Biden administration will be pressuring Congress to impose fees on companies for not using approved leases. According to the announcement, “Too many companies aren’t doing their part and are choosing to make extraordinary profits and without making additional investment to help with supply,” the White House said in the statement.
“Today, President Biden is calling on Congress to make companies pay fees on wells from their leases that they haven’t used in years and on acres of public lands that they are hoarding without producing,” the statement said.
“Companies that are producing from their leased acres and existing wells will not face higher fees,” the White House continued. “But companies that continue to sit on non-producing acres will have to choose whether to start producing or pay a fee for each idled well and unused acre.”
But they fail to mention three significant reasons why these leases are “not being used”.
- The oil industry is very violate. Oil companies lost more than $70 billion in 2020 due to the shutdowns so 2021 gains was just making up for what they lost in 2020.
- This administration is making it extremely difficult for fossil fuel companies to get the financing to drill because of things like ESG and this administrations move to punish the oil companies. So while Biden is out there blaming the oil companies for not producing more oil, his administration is doing whatever he can to prevent them from doing so.
- The Left likes to repeat these “oil companies have 9,000 unused leases” which I debunked in March 2022. Despite Biden’s claims of the oil companies could be “drilling right now, yesterday, last week, last year”, they aren’t true. To quote what I said in that article “Apparently this administration does not know the difference between a lease and a permit, or they know and are intentionally lying to you. Sure, they have 9,000 leases…. to explore for oil. There is no guarantee that there is oil on that land, they are simply leasing the land to explore for oil on that land. But still people just keep repeating that “9,000 permits” claim without bothering to do any research behind it.” So no, oil companies can not just start “drilling right now, yesterday, last week, last year”.
8. Advance climate justice: direct federal agencies to assess and mitigate environmental harms to disproportionately impacted Indigenous Peoples, People and Communities of Color, and low wealth communities
According to Joebiden.com “Vulnerable communities are disproportionately impacted by the climate emergency and pollution. The Biden Administration will take action against fossil fuel companies and other polluters who put profit over people and knowingly harm our environment and poison our communities’ air, land, and water, or conceal information regarding potential environmental and health risks. The Biden plan will ensure that communities across the country from Flint, Michigan to Harlan, Kentucky to the New Hampshire Seacoast have access to clean, safe drinking water. And he’ll make sure the development of solutions is an inclusive, community-driven process.”
In May 2022, Biden announced the creation of the Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ), which aims to tackle climate-related issues and “to protect the health of disadvantaged communities and vulnerable populations on the frontlines of pollution.”
By creating this new office and prioritizing environmental justice at HHS, Secretary [Xavier] Becerra is undertaking the type of bold institutional reform that is desperately needed to deliver clean air and clean water for all communities,” White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Brenda Mallory said in a statement. “Today’s announcement is a key step toward confronting environmental injustice – in all of its heartbreaking forms – with the full force and commitment of the Federal government.”
7. Launch a just transition to protect our communities, workers and economy.
Step 7 calls for “An Executive Order creating an inter-agency just transition task force with a deadline of six months to create a comprehensive, multi-industry, national program that guarantees support and protection for affected communities and workers.” Well, we’ve done that. As I mentioned we now have departments under HHS and the DOJ that is focused on this.
Since the group calls for a task force that “meaningfully consult(s) with unions, workers, Indigenous Peoples, and frontline community organizations, and include the EPA, Departments of Labor, Energy, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Interior, Defense, and other relevant agencies”, expect to see more departments like the the OEJ.
What is exactly is a “just transition”? In December 2019 Biden advocated for jailing fossil fuel executives for pollution. You know what’s interesting about this? He’s only worried about the pollution from oil companies, but isn’t concerned about the pollution that comes from building things like solar panels or the windmills, which are actually even more harmful for the environment.

So the President is blaming oil companies for the high gas prices, but then wants to jail their executives for pollution? Which is it Joe? It’s not possible to produce any kind of energy without some kind of an impact on the environment, and that includes solar and wind.
It’s important to mention again that solar and wind actually have a lot more negative impact on the planet, because of the resources that go into making those things. And the minerals mostly come from China, which has less pollution standards than the U.S. does. Nuclear actually has the least environmental impact but the crowd that claims to be so worried about pollution and climate change is opposed to that too.
6. Power the energy sector with 100% clean and renewable energy by 2030 and promote energy democracy.
The cost of this plan to be able to produce enough 100% clean and renewable energy by 2030 would be astronomical according to Alex Epstein in his latest book “Fossil Future”. To be able to build enough windmills and solar panels, and have enough battery to be able to completely operate on solar and wind even when the sun isn’t shining and the wind isn’t blowing, and continuing to replace the batteries, would cost the world, $300 trillion every ten years. That is over a third of the entire annual income of the world and that is a Conservative estimate. According to Alex, the more appropriate price tag would be over $400 trillion every 10 years, which is 4.5 times global GDP.
Where exactly is this amount of money coming from? Well, Biden doesn’t seem to care that no country in the world could afford this price tag. In January 2021, just one week into the Biden administration, he issued executive order 14008 which calls for “a carbon pollution-free electricity sector no later than 2035”. This is 5 years passed the deadline set by the radicals and just 13 years from now. Currently just 12% of the United States energy production is renewable.
So how do you accomplish this? You need to drive fossil fuel prices through the roof and force people into switching over to things like solar and wind, even though “green” technology is decades away (at best) from being reliable. Did I mention that it would also bankrupt us?
5. Use the Clean Air Act to set a science-based national pollution cap for greenhouse pollutants. Then, use all Clean Air Act programs to drive emissions towards zero economy-wide.
The Biden administration has been vocal since day 1 that he wanted to weaponize this Clean Air Act, and give the federal government even more power. This is a reversal from the Trump administration who wanted to keep the standards the same as that which were set under the Obama administration due to soot pollution declining. Trump’s policy wasn’t to cut regulations, he just wanted to keep the same regulations implemented under the Obama administration in place.
What this administration doesn’t understand or doesn’t care about is the impact that this will have on our economy. Sure, you want some pollution standards but pollution in the US is declining and yet Biden wants the federal government to get even more restrictive, and punish “greenhouse polluters” even more. in an effort to drive the economy to net zero, which as I have mentioned, isn’t practical and won’t be for decades passed the 2030 (or 2035) goal.
4. Shift financial flows from fossil fuels to climate solutions.
In October 2021, the administration released a “comprehensive, government-wide strategy to measure, disclose, manage and mitigate the systemic risks climate change poses to American families, businesses, and the economy”. This is ESG. For someone to continue to claim that ESG and the Great Reset is just some “conspiracy theory” at this point shows that they are either lying to you or they choose to be ignorant. Biden’s own executive orders outline ESG, as well as the treasury department and the world economic forum.
According to this order, “Climate change poses a systemic risk to our economy and our financial system, and we must take decisive action to mitigate its impacts” and “By identifying and mitigating climate risks through procurement, the Federal government is leading by example, deploying public procurement policy as a tool to strategically shape markets and promote a more resilient economy.”
To sum up what this means for those who are new to learning about ESG, ESG is a score that will be given to every person and corporation. You will be rated based on things like what you drive, your carbon footprint, how much meat you eat, etc. If your score is too low, you are going to have a hard time getting a loan. If you are invested in fossil fuel companies or other companies that are dependent on fossil fuels, your ESG score will suffer. By 2035 at the latest you won’t be able to buy a car that isn’t “green”. You likely won’t even be able to get insurance on a car that runs off of fossil fuels. And corporations like energy companies are not going to be able to get the funding to continue drilling.
In 2020 it was possible to call this a “conspiracy theory” but all of the players are now openly admitting that this is their goal and you can find the documents everywhere from the UN to WEF to the White House to the banks that have begun to implement it.
3. Stop fossil fuel and infrastructure approvals.
2. Keep fossil fuels in the ground.
I’m going to address 2 and 3 together here.
Both the Biden administration and the banks are now doing whatever they can to prevent drilling for fossil fuels. Fossil fuel companies are having a much harder time getting funding from the banks because of ESG, which the Biden administration is implementing. The SEC is actively moving to force companies to display their ESG scores. And the Biden administration is doing whatever they can to shut down production, including ending the expansion of the keystone pipeline, recently ending oil and gas sales for 3 major leases, Biden’s Department of Interior releasing a memo hinting that they could end drilling leases (despite gas prices at record highs) and putting a moratorium on drilling leases on federal land.
So all of this talk about the oil companies being to blame is complete nonsense. This administration and the sheep that just repeat the claims that Biden bares no responsibility, this is the Putin price hike, it’s the oil companies fault, or any other number of excuses they can come up with is complete bull. This administration, working with the the World Economic Forum’s plan for a “Great Reset”, has actively done everything possible to drive up the cost of energy. No, it’s not just Biden, it’s the Great Reset and ESG which this administration is implementing.
And that leads me to the final step in “THE 10 ESSENTIAL STEPS PRESIDENT BIDEN MUST TAKE ON CLIMATE”.
- Declare a national emergency under the National Emergencies Act.
This is the only step that they haven’t taken, yet, but they are now hinting that this is coming very soon.
According to the Center for Biological Diversity “This step will communicate the urgency of the climate crisis and unlock specific statutory powers to help accomplish the necessary response. Reinstate the crude oil export ban and promote rapid clean energy development per emergency powers; all other actions in this plan can be accomplished under the President’s regular executive powers. Direct relevant federal agencies to reverse all Trump administration executive climate rollbacks and replace with sufficiently strong action as described below.”
Expect to see this implemented within the next few months. The Biden administration recently proposed changes, without congressional approval, that will give the World Health Organization the power to shut down American companies if there is a health “emergency”. And you can bet there will be something that they deem to be an “emergency”.
The Biden administration recently implemented the Defense Production Act (for a second time during his administration) that will override the private sector and require companies to start focusing on producing more solar power panels. This is an act that hasn’t been implemented since the Korean war and is only for emergencies, and Biden has already implemented it twice within two months.
Democrats have been calling for Biden to declare a national emergency from the beginning of his administration but that number is growing. According to Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) “This is a clear shot to get something done, I don’t see a better way to harness the energy and the focus on climate than this”. The administration has already claimed that climate change poses a serious risk and has already implemented the defense production act. They are already making changes to FEMA, the FEC and all of the agencies so this is the next step and will likely be taken before the end of this summer.
The key take away for this article and really every action that this administration is taking is that this is all intentional. They are intentionally driving up energy costs. They are intentionally driving up inflation. They are intentionally pushing you into a position where by 2030, “you’ll own nothing”, to quote the World Economic Forum.
